OMG! What a day... Sunday 1/31/10
Dr. Denker transferred 3 embryos. Eliza was there walking me through everything. I got the acupuncture (which was calming and painless). My reflux was acting up so my tummy hurt a bit. But Phil and Eliza kept me calm. I had to drink water before the procedure (a full bladder is needed for the transfer). It all happened so fast! I was laying back trying to relax and then
Dr. Denker came in and said, "it's time". Blanca (the amazing embryologist) brought our 3 embryos in in a long tube and
Dr. Denker went to work. I only had three viable left of the 8... none were able to be frozen for later use. Dr. Denker then inserted the embryos into my uterus and then emptied my bladder. That was it, pretty fast and really emotional. It was all over... 3 potential babies were now in my uterus. I wanted to jump up and hug
Dr. Denker and tell him I loved him!! I am on a hormone rage - LOL.
I then laid flat for almost an hour before getting up. I was nervous the embryos were going to "fall-out" but Eliza and
Dr. Denker said that would not happen. I know have to be on bed rest for 48 hours. No NOTHING for 2 days. I am okay with that!! Bed, sleep, rest sound good right now.
I have a picture they gave me of the three embryos... can you believe I have a picture of what might be our baby or babies... LOL! Take a look... AMAZING RIGHT?

What
Dr. Denker and his team did today was a miracle. I am in shock that I have three in my belly. I guess I need to stay grounded however... the embryos need to implant into my uterus now. If they do - I will be pregnant... if they don't I will not. The embryos float around for a few days before implantation.
The killer part is we have to wait 14 days until our pregnancy test! It's hard to think that something we want so bad could not work out. Phil says I need to stay positive BUT I cannot help but to prepare myself for the bad. Prepare for the Bad and hope for the Best... that's my motto!
THOSE 14 days will be awful I bet... I need to stay busy!
For now... I will enjoy this day for what it is.
A perfect transfer as
Dr. Denker said... we could not pray or ask for anything more.
Talk to you soon.
